Country Star Cole Chaney To Headline Sandy's Grand Opening

Eastern Kentucky native will kick off a series of daily star-studded entertainment

Boyd County’s own Cole Chaney will deliver a free headlining set when Sandy’s Racing & Gaming opens its doors on Thursday night.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to introduce ourselves to the community than by having Eastern Kentucky’s favorite hometown singer on our stage,” said John Marshall, President of Sandy’s Gaming. “We know Cole will deliver an unforgettable performance and that Sandy’s will provide an unforgettable experience.”

Chaney’s debut record was released in 2021 and drew rave reviews for its blue-collar, Appalachian-influenced anthems and his powerful voice. He has since grown a massive nationwide following and consistently sells out shows, including last week’s performance in Lexington. This will mark his last announced show before he plays the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in December.

Sandy’s, Eastern Kentucky’s newest entertainment destination, features two stages which will constantly be filled with live performers, with a balance of both regional acts and local artists invited to appear, as well as surprise appearances and even live dueling pianos.
